Kaspersky Lab Cybercrime Forum - 29th January 2009
HMS Belfast, London, 09.30 – 14.00 (including lunch)
For anyone looking to understand more about today’s threat landscape and cybercrime, Kaspersky Lab UK is hosting its
6th Cybercrime Forum. Taking place on the 29th January 2009 on board HMS Belfast in London, and supported by Robert
Burls, Detective Constable with the Metropolitan Police Computer Crime Unit, the forum will deliver an in-depth view
of the issues and challenges businesses face today and the steps to take to protect business IT systems and workforce. The event includes a complimentary networking lunch.
Until recently, viruses and other malicious programs tended to be isolated acts of computer vandalism; anti-social
self-expression using hi-tech means. Today we are faced with ‘crimeware’, malicious code created for the purpose of
making money illegally, resulting in targeted, written ‘to order’ threats. In particular, crimeware authors are likely
to target the growing numbers of wireless devices increasingly used by enterprises. Our changing ‘open space’ business
practices require ‘follow-me’ security solutions, capable of protecting the enterprise and its staff wherever they are,
and however they conduct business.
Does your current security strategy meet the challenge of keeping you in step, and one step ahead of ever-evolving threats?
Guest speakers include:
- Robert Burls - Detective Constable, Metropolitan Police Computer Crime Unit
